Church Strengthening Team
"[Paul] traveled through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the church" - Acts 15:41 (HCSB)
The Church Strengthening Team's purpose is rooted in the missionary journey examples of Paul and Barnabas who planted and established churches first, then went back to these churches to strengthen them.
" . . . strengthening the hearts of the disciples by encouraging them to continue in the faith, and by telling them, 'It is necessary to pass through many troubles on our way into the kingdom of God'" - Acts 14:22 (HCSB)
Great Commission Living encompasses the spiritually healthy church that is growing stronger and the struggling church that desires to see God's plan lived out through its congregation. The primary focus of the Church Strengthening Team is to assist churches in growing stronger by growing healthier through every season of church health and to equip church leaders as they serve.
Team members can assist churches in pursuit of Great Commission Living through:
- Supporting traditional church ministries - Sunday School, discipleship
- Leadership coaching and congregational evaluations - Strength Development Index, interim pastoral help
- Spiritual Development Process - moving to the next level of ministry
- Intentional Church Multiplication Process (ICMP)
"[Paul] set out, traveling through one place after another in the Galatian territory and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples" - Acts 18:23 (HCSB)
The Church Strengthening Team is led by Associate Executive Director David Parks who may be reached by phone at 803.227.6010 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
