ASSOCIATIONAL MISSIONS

One friend we have is the local Baptist Association.  Through the Association, churches join together to provide needs and volunteers for missions in our own part of South Carolina.  People need to hear about Jesus everywhere!

South Carolina is broken up into different geographical sections.  Each section is called an Association.  Each Association has one leader who helps all the churches in that Association with various needs, mission projects, activities, and events.  This leader is called a Director of Missions or an Associational Missionary.

The Church Sending Team provides training events for Directors of Missions and their staff during the year to help them to become resource persons for the churches in their associations.  The associational directors of missions provide the liaison relationship between associational directors of missions and the state convention.  Assistance is provided to associations in the search process for directors.
